About David Ikechukwu

David Ikechukwu is the Founder of PingMart, the trusted discovery and trust layer for WhatsApp commerce in Africa, often called the Google for WhatsApp vendors.

In Nigeria and across Africa, finding a reliable tailor, mechanic, caterer, phone repair person, or any service provider still comes down to one question: "Do you know anyone who does this?" People waste hours asking friends, family, and WhatsApp groups, or worse, they risk dealing with scammers and impersonators. This fragmented, high-risk way of doing commerce powers hundreds of billions in annual transactions but has remained largely informal and unsafe.

PingMart changes that.

Buyers simply go to PingMart, type what they need in the search bar (fashion, beauty, electronics, food & catering, professional services, or anything else), and instantly see multiple verified options for both products and services. One tap connects them directly to the vendor on WhatsApp, with no extra app and no sign-up friction.

On the vendor side, David's team verifies real people through ID and business checks, then gives them trust badges, ratings, response-time scoring, reviews, and dispute support. This creates real safety and credibility in a space that has desperately needed it.

PingMart is still early, pre-full launch, but the problem it's solving is massive, deeply personal, and uniquely African. As a Nigerian founder who has lived this frustration firsthand, David is obsessed with turning informal commerce into something safer, faster, and more scalable building critical infrastructure for one of the largest and most active commerce ecosystems on the continent.
